the room was spacious and very clean. i liked the screens that kept insects out. the hotel had a jungle atmosphere and the surrounding landscape was beautiful. staff helped organize a day trip to an elephant park.

the road to the hotel had many potholes. the drive was slow to avoid damaging the car. this made the hotel difficult to reach.

dinner and breakfast offered good food. there was a buffet with traditional sri lankan sweets for christmas. the hotel provided a satisfying english breakfast this year.
